Focus on direction, not destination<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember64\">Immerse yourself completely in the journey and you will reach your final goal gradually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember65\"><strong>2. Raise your hand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember67\">Asking questions is a fundamental human right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember68\"><strong>3. Learn at your own pace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember70\">Find your rhythm, find your flow. Don\u2019t compare yourself to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember71\"><strong>4. Unplug<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember73\">You have the right to disconnect and move your attention toward what\u2019s essential. Learn unplugged, far away from digital distractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember74\"><strong>5. Change your learning path (and mind)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember76\">Don\u2019t get too comfortable in the habit zone and start with changing the aversion to change. Think differently and learn new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember77\"><strong>6. Take a break<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember79\">Micro-breaks, lunch breaks, and longer breaks will all improve your learning performance. You have the right to rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember80\"><strong>7. Make mistakes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember82\">Don\u2019t fall into despair but Fail Forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember83\"><strong>8. Leave it unfinished<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember85\">We live in a super busy, multi-tasking, results-oriented society. Step away from your long to-do list and enjoy once in a while the beauty of an unstructured day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember86\"><strong>9. Unlearn and forget<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember88\">Harness the power of unlearning. Reboot your mind, abandon old knowledge, actions, and behaviors to create space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember89\"><strong>10. Slow down<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember91\">Sometimes slow and steady will win the learning race. Make haste slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember92\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember93\">&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember94\">If you have to guess, would you say that this manifesto is for creativity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember96\">If you think it is, you are right and wrong at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember97\">Actually, this is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itcilo.org\/resources\/why-dont-you-slow-down\"><em>Manifesto for Slow Learning<\/em><\/a>, a project made by 15 authors, artists, and teachers. Together they created this &#8220;bill of rights&#8221; for the slow learner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember99\">Curiously enough, many -if not all- work perfectly for creativity, too. In other words, <strong>creativity needs time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember100\">If you are always in a rush to do your work, learning, problem-solving, or whatever you need to do, chances are that you will or already having a hard time thinking creatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember102\">When you take the time to learn something slowly, you&#8217;re more likely to develop a deeper understanding. Instead of rushing through concepts and memorizing information, you have the opportunity to explore ideas more thoroughly, ask questions, and make connections between different topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember103\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember104\"><strong>Do you have in your daily routine a time to slow down, reflect, rest, and\/or do nothing?
