But this conflict between being conservative and disruptive is what makes the wheels of culture and society turn. As much as we like what creativity symbolizes today, it is necessary to accept that, like everything else on the planet, it is also constantly changing.<br><br>With this in mind, this book proposes an interdisciplinary view of creativity, exploring it according to studies in anthropology, psychology, sociology, education, history, arts, sciences, philosophy, and other adjacent areas, which added to the exploration of its past, gives us every reason to be optimistic about its future. But, in addition to simply contemplating a promising future, we must also reflect on whether we are missing an opportunity or neglecting something important.<br><br>In a modern metaphor, we urgently need to update our creativity software. Grounded in both componential and sociocultural models of creativity, the research integrates psychological, educational, and organizational perspectives within an ecosystemic framework that conceptualizes creativity as an emergent property of interdependent systems.<br><br>It includes five studies, four empirical and one theoretical. The first two empirical studies explore teachers\u2019 perceptions of creativity within educational ecosystems, while the third and fourth replicate the analytical model in workplace settings with workers. Across all studies, creativity is analyzed through four fundamental components: motivation, knowledge, openness to experience, and the social environment. The fifth theoretical paper elaborates on the ecological principles underlying creativity and proposes education and organization contexts as creative ecosystems.<br><br>Overall, this research consolidates creativity as a systemic and sociocultural process rather than an isolated individual trait or skill.
